As a Structural Design Professional, A. W. Lookup operates under a set
of specific principles which are vital to serving a client’s best interests.
- Project Individuality
Each project is studied to define its individual
requirements and their influence on
the structural systems to be selected. We
do not specialize in one particular structural
material or system. Rather, our approach is
to analyze each situation on its own merit.
Our goal is to achieve the most economical,
efficient, and appropriate structural solution
for each project.
- Technological Suitability
We invest substantial time and effort in researching
and applying technology in our field. As new materials
and systems become available, they are
considered along with more conventional
materials and systems. Innovations are
not selected or rejected solely due to their
novelty. Instead, they are adopted if proven
to be the most suitable choice for a given
project and if detailed study shows that no
unexpected problems will be encountered.
- Communication
Open, thorough communication with other
Project-team professionals is a high priority.
Only with communication and cooperation
between various disciplines can the
resulting project be constructed without
numerous “field conditions” requiring
resolution.
- Quality Documentation
The production of complete and accurate
Project documents is the initial end-product
of our services. We set very strict standards
for ourselves to produce these documents
efficiently, with a high level of quality,
and in such detail and completeness
that few questions arise during construction.
- Schedule Achievement
Every effort is made to provide our services
promptly to satisfy and complement the
client’s project schedule. “Fast Track”
production of construction documents is
achieved through our awareness of the many
overall design requirements and by
anticipating the needs that the structure
must satisfy.
